YAAAY. I can finally go look for an ambulance job wooooo. No more retail hunting, no more being annoyed with not having anything to do, no more worrying about not getting patient care hours in so I can apply to PA school next year…!
BUT, to any EMTs/medics/other EMS professionals on tumblr… All of the ambulances in my town are located at fire departments… Do I have to be a firefighter in order to work on the ambulance?
So, my friend won the Jammin 107.7 contest to go up on stage with LMFAO (: So proud of him! He’s such an amazing dancer, and this is seriously the most amazing opportunity for him. He posted a pic on facebook a little bit ago with two of the guys from LMFAO and his girlfriend, since he was allowed to bring a friend to the meet and greet. I still can’t believe that someone I know won the contest and is up on stage with them!
Also, I spent the day at the beach, and then went out to dinner with some friends of my mom’s that moved away 15 years ago. So, I was 4 or 5. I don’t remember them like, at all. Well, I remember some random stuff, but not a lot. Something I don’t really remember was how tall they all are! I mean, when you’re a little kid, everyone is a giant, so it makes sense as to why I had no idea that my mom was friends with giants. No like, they’re all at least 6’ tall. Craaazy. I’m not even 5 and 1/2 feet tall, so it’s so strange. But they’re really nice, and the coolest part was that their youngest daughter is looking at my college as a potential choice! Aaah, so cool. AND she asked me about Greek Life! Even betterr (: But it’s so funny how some people can move away, and then they come back after visiting a college, and it’s like no time passed. My mom and her friends talked and talked and talked. It was so funny. Only bad part? I burned the roof of my mouth on the pizza I had… oops.
Just applied for jobs at Old Navy, Target, Walmart, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Petco. Kind of hoping for BBB or Petco, but if any of them call me, it will be a miracle. I just need a job soon, or I think my mom might kill me. Well, not really, but she’s been paying my car insurance while I look for jobs everywhere… ): And since my state EMT certification hasn’t come in yet, I can’t really look for ambulance jobs. Not that I’d be hired, since the majority of ambulance companies and fire dept.’s around here require you to be 21 or older. Ugh.
